Make Every Day Beautiful

Make every day beautiful is a reflection I have been sitting with for the last few days. A quiet reminder that beauty is already woven into the simplest and most unexpected moments of our days. It is the simple things in life that bring me so much joy. Little acts of kindness and small acts of love keep my tender heart full each and every day.

And this week, one of the most beautiful moments found me in France, from across the other side of the world. My daughter sent me a video capturing a precious moment. In a bucket below the little birdhouse she had placed in her garden, a baby bird had fallen. The last of her siblings to leave the nest, still finding her way. Still learning what wings are for.

My daughter knew instinctively to use a garden shovel, holding it gently beneath the little bird so her scent would not touch her. So the bird’s world would remain undisturbed. So love could be given without leaving a mark.

That is the kind of tenderness that takes your breath away.

She placed the bird gently close to home. And there, the siblings began to call. The parents came to feed her. Life gathered itself around this tiny bird with such quiet devotion. Watching this from across the world, my heart was so full I could barely find words for it. There is something about witnessing your daughter move through the world with that quality of love and awareness that reaches places inside you that nothing else can touch. She did not think twice. She simply knew how to care.

And the bird. This little soul who had fallen, who found herself somewhere she had not intended to be, surrounded suddenly by every kind of love. Her siblings calling. Her parents present. A gentle hand offering her a way back home without disturbing a single feather.

I find myself thinking about how often life offers us exactly this. A moment of falling that we did not plan for. And then, quietly, unexpectedly, the voices that call us back. The love that finds us right where we are. The gentle presence that helps us find our way without leaving a mark.

We are held far more than we know.

And then, just as I was sitting with all of this, my daughter texted me. He flew. He made it to the tree with his family. I read those words and my heart soared with him.

Make every day beautiful. In the love we extend to one another and to every living thing that crosses our path. In the patience to wait, to trust, and to believe that we too will find our way back to where we belong.

That is where beauty lives. And it is always, always enough.

Until we meet again, may this bring a smile to your heart.

With love from France,
Jubetsy
